<p>Hey all you brothers and sisters!! I felt it was time for some sort of an update, as things have been a little dormant recently. I've been involved in my own situation that some of you may or may not know about, my apologies for not taking the time to do some work &quot;around here&quot;, but I am not here to talk about that, so anyhow&#8230;..</p>

Hey all you brothers and sisters!! I felt it was time for some sort of an update, as things have been a little dormant recently. I've been involved in my own situation that some of you may or may not know about, my apologies for not taking the time to do some work "around here", but I am not here to talk about that, so anyhow…..

There isn't a whole lot of new stuff around the site, but there are some more cool things in the works. Donny and I have been pretty busy with various involvements but we will get something going soon, I'm sure. I hope that what we have here now is doing you guys some good and that it is being put to good use.

As for stuff happening, I believe that LA just recently had a Jr. STF Workshop and I know Bridgeport just had one as well. The Kansas Jr. STF monthly "workshop" is coming up also, although I, unfortunately, am unable to attend for reasons beyond my control. Things seem to be going fairly smoothly in respects to Jr. STF members and I have seen a lot of positive feedback on events popping up around Facebook.

Some of you may or may not know, but Jr. STF is no longer running as a "National Program" - the announcement was made a little while back. There are still some things that are being ironed out about the change, but for now, Jr. STF is being left up to regional discretion - which leaves some communities struggling to continue supporting their Jr. STF members, and others with a lot of kids that were really looking forward to the "upcoming" national workshop.

For those of you Jr. STFers who are bummed out about that, try to keep your head up! There were a lot of us looking forward to attending and now we must find something else to inspire us this summer. Some of you are out of school and others just finishing up, but I hope that you guys have a great summer, do something fun, something for others, and also for yourself. Try and keep yourselves on the right path and if you need some support you know where to look - regional leaders, field educators, and Donny and I.

Lastly, one thing I am thinking about and will have to discuss with Donny is an open discussion area. I feel that it would be really beneficial for some of our members to have a place to "duke it out" so-to-speak without fearing judgment. Somewhere to speak what's on your mind and get honest, open feedback about it. Just a thought, and I would, we would, love to hear about your thoughts as well! If you have an idea, give us a shout; that's why me made this site - for YOU GUYS!!!

Anyhow, I wish you all the best and hope things are going well. I look forward to MAYBE seeing some of you guys this summer! Have a great one!!!

Love from a brother,

James jcpt928

by jcpt928

Uncertainty and Entropy as a Basis for Existence

<p>I just watched a video which has indelibly reinforced many ideas I have had about existentialism and being. So cogent in theory and logic, this story is about mathematics and its quest for understanding. Ironically by the end of the documentary, the logical conclusion is that logic is limited. Much like computers, our minds get hung up on certain topics; we can never let go of them. It has been empirically proven that for certain problems, no solution exists. So, as a tie in to the previous entry, &quot;I think therfore I am,&quot; I would like to ask you to take a step back and look at your life in the whole context. Intuition is the difference between man and machine; perhaps we should dilute our absolute quest for knowledge and feel the situation at hand. Many times I toil over one problem for days, never finding that incontrovertible truth aligned to logical morality. Sometimes, that is all one needs to reach the edge of sanity. Epistemology should not be used as a means to an end, but as a tool. We are in constant change, how can we ever, with any finite certainty, understand ourselves?</p>
<p>by <span class="printuser avatarhover"><a href="http://www.wikidot.com/user:info/iphonenotify" ><img class="small" src="http://www.wikidot.com/avatar.php?userid=188397&amp;amp;size=small&amp;amp;timestamp=1776710376" alt="iphonenotify" style="background-image:url(http://www.wikidot.com/userkarma.php?u=188397)" /></a><a href="http://www.wikidot.com/user:info/iphonenotify" >iphonenotify</a></span></p>

I just watched a video which has indelibly reinforced many ideas I have had about existentialism and being. So, as a tie in to the previous entry, "I think therfore I am," I would like to ask you to take a step back and look at your life in the whole context. We are in constant change, how can we ever, with any finite certainty, understand ourselves?

We owe a lot to our predecessors; logic being the primary example. But it is for us to decide who we are. No logic can ever define character. That is why everyone is different and everyone struggles to coexist. You do not have the answer to life and its problems, no one person does.

As a side, something interesting I thought of. Uncertainty allows for the existence of everything. If everything was certain, nothing would exist. Let's take a look at a few key scientific principles or ideas. The Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle, Electron Wave Particle Duality, Entropy, String Theory, Chaos Theory, Quantum Mechanics and Physics, The Theory of Relativity, The Theory of Everything, Variable Constants in Physics, Continuum Theory, and finally Schrödinger's Principle. I was originally going to explain, in great length, the significance of each of these items with regards to uncertainty and ∴ existence, but I will just explain what they share. Many of these ideas shape and define how our universe functions, albeit some are just theories. Pick and choose. Let us take String Theory as an example. The premise promoted by this supposition is that everything is made of small super strings which operate in the 11th dimension. These strings have random vibrations and rotations that make up the size, charge, and spin of the subatomic particles. Now imagine an instance in which all of these strings just suddenly…..stopped moving. What would happen? Would we exist with any definite dimensions? If that which created us no longer gives an illusion of space, what would we be? Since super strings have no dimensions, we would no longer exist. So without a fundamental underlying structure we would not exist. Let me remind you that these strings are the embodiment of true entropy within the universe. Basically chaos, uncertainty, unpredictability, etc. are at the center of what we perceive to be an ordered universe. Since time and space are relative, we must have some sort of variables underneath it all. Uncertainty, my friends, makes the universe tick. Entropy becomes greater with time, meaning you and everything will eventually come to an end or change significantly. Look at electrons. You can not even know where and at what speed they are going. This is according to the Heisenberg uncertainty principle. You have to choose. That is right, even the location and speed of real tangible(I guess not really) objects are not always defined. Even certain constants in physics, which shaped many equations, now seem variable according to physicists. Heard of Dark Matter? What, do you mean gravity did not always have the same force? Yes, that is exactly what I mean. What is a mathematician's worst nightmare is humanity's very lifeline. My final point? Everything is relative, even the truth. Live life and do not get wrapped up in uncertainty and logic. Do not hate or criticize, everything is relative. Just take a step back and learn. Learn and enjoy! God put on one amazing show.

Sorry, no match for the embedded content.

by iphonenotify

<p>I was pondering whether or not a marriage can work and be beautiful if both people are fully committed and yes it'll work and it may be beautiful. But as people, we are all unique. We have certain passions, characteristics and a mission or path that would bring us to our fullest potential. God wants us to be everything we can, that's why we need someone who will suit us.</p>

<p>This site has been a little clunky ever since it was created. Things work, but they look weird or are messy. I have taken it upon myself to do a little cleaning up, make the experience more pleasant. So I have added a list which you can edit to let you know what has been done and let me know what needs to be done. So suggest and I will hopefully impress. :)</p>

To watch this website all that you have to do is click one of the options at the bottom of the page. See the picture for details!

When you watch a page or a site you get notifications emailed to you when something happens on that page or site. This is very similar to facebook, though probably far less intrusive and annoying!
Prayer

Father of love! Please let us realize the grieving heart and be in awe before that heart by understanding how thorny the 6,000 years of history have been. We did not know what the gravest of all sins was, but when we come to the realization, we find that it was a great sin to consider the light that the Lord has given us only as our own. Although we possess the water and the oil, it was a great sin to hold it only for ourselves. Although we were wearing the holy gown, it was a grave sin not to have caused many people to wear the gown, although we have the responsibility to make people become faithful. It was a great sin on the scale of representing the 6,000 years that we could not make others believe.

Please let your children who have gathered here understand that more than committing sin themselves, it is a greater sin to cause another to commit sin, and it is a greater sin to have failed to give them the light, water, oil and the gown that Jesus left behind through his suffering. Father, please let the children who had scattered receive the hyung-sang of Jesus Christ and listen to his calling through the words I have spoken. Although they should be responsible for the historical difficulties and tribulations, including even the suffering of the cross, because they are inadequate and ignorant of Heaven's will and the Father's wishes, please encourage them and reveal Your will to them first; let them hear Your voice directly first. Loving Father, I pray from the bottom of my heart that, since they are trying to lead a life of goodness, You will lead them to live their life as they hope.

Please prepare them as the bride of the Lord and guide them to become children who can prevail over everything and bring glory to Heaven, and please govern over the new historical event. I entrust everything to You, so please govern us as You will and appear in the hearts of these who have gathered here. I pray that You will raise them up as the children who can represent the eternal glory of victory. I pray all these things in the name of the Lord. Amen.

by iphonenotify

<p>&quot; We should not hesitate or be unable to find our direction after hearing the crying voice of the wounded Jesus Christ of sorrow. When Jesus Christ comes suddenly and calls you with a doleful voice, you should not flinch. What should you do? Before the sad voice of Jesus can be heard by you, you need to cry out in a sad voice first. You must be the first to shake heaven and earth with the cry, &quot; My shepherd! Lord!&quot;</p>

Here is what Uncle Curtis had to say about my article:

Curtis Martin at 8:49pm March 24
Don: At the risk of coming across like a bible-thumper, I'd like to share this thought with you from James 1:5-6

"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.

But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind."… Read More

The point is that it is OK to ask questions, but ask God sincerely, with faith that He will answer your prayers and give you the insight you are looking for. God actually wants you to pester him with questions. Just keep an open mind to receive His answers.

A lot of people who are into "philosophy" aren't looking for answers, but are just criticizing, complaining and trying to sow doubt. They may think that's a "cool" attitude to wear around, but it doesn't lead to the accomplishment of anything constructive.

Hang in there!

This is so awesome. This makes perfect sense. It was because I did not keep God with me from the start. I was like the wave. Completely getting tossed around. I wanted to keep God out to see things objectively. Wow, I was so stupid. Keep God with you in all of your endeavors.

Also Justin Kim and I want to do HDH with each other to recognize God in life and to grow spiritually. We are starting with 1945 and True Father. I want to do this to develop an absolute standard in my life. So anyway, I would oblige you to join us and develop the heart to learn. Learn with God. I will post the reading site as soon as I can find or remember it.

More blog posts to follow.

by iphonenotify

<p>I remember a while back I thought I had all of the answers; I thought I knew how to incorporate spirituality in my everyday school life. These last few weeks have been quite hard. They proved me wrong. I was not ready to handle a lot of what occurred. Let's just say that I had a dark last few weeks. I have been questioning many aspects of my faith. I originally accepted this as a natural course I would have to deal with, so I delved further into inquisition. This was a steep slope. Depression soon set in, as values and beliefs I once thought to be perfectly tenable did not have the same resilience. Philosophy is a dark and dangerous place. I never want to go back there again. When given access to ones values, it rips them apart. Please do not entertain it. It enthralls you and destroys concepts with such ferocity that it is unimaginable. The weird thing is that no matter what you believe, philosophy can rip it apart. If you seek an answer, you will find one that makes perfect sense in your mind. It will make so much sense that it is horrific. This is because philosophy is fueled by the need to find an answer. It will never stop until a false answer passes logical reasoning. At that point conclusions make perfect sense, but in reality they are so twisted and wrong. These last few weeks have been some of the scariest I have ever experienced. The good thing is that I now realize that philosophy is flawed. With logic at its heart it can never be perfect. The conclusions come out of a need for questions to be answered. Is this clear?</p>

I remember a while back I thought I had all of the answers; I thought I knew how to incorporate spirituality in my everyday school life. Is this clear?

Logic was my problem. I like to approach situations with logic, only then do I really believe I own something. The crazy thing was that my logic, these last weeks, has not agreed with my faith. School in all of its monotony mixed with lots of pointless mental labor also set a bad mood. Anyway, the unpredictable surprise has been the fact that I now realize, via logic (haha), that my logic can never be perfect. (How much does that say about my theory? Not much, I guess.) As much as it makes sense in my head, my logic is flawed. I can never know that what I perceive is a proper base for cognitive reason to stand on or if my thinking is erroneous because of chemical interaction within my brain. In other words, I have realized that I cannot trust myself with matters of as much importance as faith. Also, even though the point of all of the reasoning is to find a suitable answer to life, I will never be happy because I do not possess the capabilities to answer most of life's questions. That contradiction with my lifestyle originally made me despondent, but upon further reflection I eventually realized that all of the happiest times in my life derived from faith and its practice. Faith cannot be explained, yet it does wonders. It is what you do with what you are taught that makes faith worth while. We are inherently good, so even though faith may not make sense, seems foolish, or sometimes even seems outright wrong, it is what you do with it that takes you one step further in the right direction. So while we may question faith sometimes, in the end none of that accomplishes anything.

I think it is quite ingenious how God created a world in which all of his creation could exist on the same level of function regardless of mental prowess. There have been many brilliant men who, through intense thought, have come up with the same conclusions as a five year-old. All thought ends up at the same place. Try answering a question and you will find two more that you will never answer. Who is closer to the answer to life: Plato or Jaden? God is kind of like the producers of "LOST" he creates enjoyable viewing for everyone. Some people decrypt Morris Code from blinking florescent lights in random scenes, while others just enjoy the characters. God created the universe to be perfectly enjoyed by you and by how you think. Cool huh?!

Now do not get me wrong, logic has it's place, but most of the time is is not reliable because bias is created when emotions or other things beyond our control come into play. I think it is good for screening possible choices in faith, but not for questioning. Simply because it is limited. True happiness comes from God, not from understanding. Why? Because only God can truly understand. Share with one another, have fun, believe what you have come to accept. Life will be much more enjoyable. Even if some parts of what you believe are wrong you will still end up happier in the end. So strive for the unattainable or illogical, because if you did not, then what chance would you ever have at attaining? It is only possible to do something if you believe it is possible and you attempt it. Failure is something we learn from which ultimately makes us more likely to succeed. So with this paradigm, you will never be sad if you do not succeed, just more eager to succeed!

Moral: Work for God, do not waste time rationalizing. You will be happier, even if some nuances do not make sense, because you will have accomplished great things.

It is the simple things in life that have the most meaning. One song took me out of my 3 week mood. Music is so powerful. It is crazy just how much leverage simplicity has. It is called "Casimir Pulaski Day" by Sufjan Stevens. It made me reflect on God, life and the importance of life and God. No more Nietzsche! Yay!

by iphonenotify

…into the depths we go…

Well, we all may sometimes think that that might be a scary thought…or even worse if we have to experience it first hand - Donny's mind I mean. But nonetheless, Donny has put some incredible effort into the site the past couple weeks and I am duly impressed. From the DP Library to the Page-by-Page Discussion and Related Tabs he has done wonders in a very short time. He has put up a new "Pics & Vids" section as well and organized it very nicely. All this and he's studying for his APCS; I haven't been able to get more than a few words out of him in chat. 8-P

Now, back to the "Inner Workings of Donny's Mind"; to some of us that may be a danger sign, to others, an inspiration. ^_^ As we can see there is something beneficial being constructed up there, even though the rest of it may be a little discombobulated. I'm sure this is only a taste of what he has up there in that "nether realm".

I want to personally invite you to give Donny a round of applause and three cheers of "Good Job!"….."Now he's a jolly good fellow, now he's….."

Now, let's give his work a test-drive!!

Sorry, Donny, I had a bit of an inspiration and couldn't resist. Teehee!!

Love Ya Bro, Love Ya Peeps!!

—James

by jcpt928

Check out the Library!

<p>The Library is a new section under Divine Principle. The Library functions as an online storage device for all sorts of insightful books, including the DP. All the books are eBooks, which means they are electronic copies of books you may have. Forget your DP? Need HDH material? Want to read a book, but you don't own it or have access? All of that can be taken care of here. Welcome to your new static reading source. Always there when you need it, not weighing you down when you don't. Ladies and Gentlemen: Welcome to the Library.</p>

Ladies and Gentlemen: Welcome to the Library.

Feel free to request books for posting. Also, if you want, you may place books here for the greater good. Enjoy!

BTW: "DP in Plain Words" is a good book to help you get a second perspective on the DP, it also makes for great lecture examples. It is a good resource for Candidates or Green members who want to get a 1up on the next DP test. This book allows you to understand the DP, not memorize it.

by iphonenotify

LFGG and Blog Already!

<div class="image-container floatright"><img src="http://blog.ning.com/blog/blog_logo.jpg" alt="blog_logo.jpg" class="image" /></div>
<p>We all know that there are many aspects involved with LFGG. One important point that I would like to touch upon is the concept of sharing our ideas. A person can do a lot for the greater good when he/she shares creative ideas. Take a look at Google; the whole workplace is centered around the Google Doctrine which states that creativity and openness foster innovation and greatness. Core Values are the big secret in successful business. Let's use them to share the Culture of Heart and the ideal of God's family. If we share more with one another we can apply great ideas that would have stayed dormant otherwise.</p>
<p>If you have an amazing idea or piece of information to share, what better way than to blog it to the world? Now that we are public, almost anyone can blog. All you have to do to LFGG is hit the &quot;Blog&quot; button at the top of the page and then click &quot;Write Post.&quot; So LFGG and Blog Already!</p>
<p>by <span class="printuser avatarhover"><a href="http://www.wikidot.com/user:info/iphonenotify" ><img class="small" src="http://www.wikidot.com/avatar.php?userid=188397&amp;amp;size=small&amp;amp;timestamp=1776710376" alt="iphonenotify" style="background-image:url(http://www.wikidot.com/userkarma.php?u=188397)" /></a><a href="http://www.wikidot.com/user:info/iphonenotify" >iphonenotify</a></span></p>

We had an Awesome Workshop!

<p>I am so proud of everyone who went to the workshop up in Norcal. The ride was tough, but everyone felt it was worth it. Congrats to all of those who passed, and congrats to those that didn't, that run really impressed me. And for all you green guys and girls, that was some intense volleyball. I was really impressed by your persistent spirit and cold feet (you guys are crazy). Learn to embody the Culture of Heart and be the influence. Wow. That was fun.</p>
